Welcome to Global Azure 2025! On Thursday 8th, Friday 9th and Saturday 10th May we invite Azure communities around the world to organise events focused on Microsoft Azure cloud. By the community, for the community! Our mantra has not changed since the very first Global Azure Bootcamp over ten years ago. Now we run over three days to make it easier for people to participate, and we dropped 'bootcamp' from our name to reflect the fact that a Global Azure community event can take many forms. We aim to bring professionals, students, and enthusiasts together through events organised by community leaders around the world. In 2024 there were 106 events across the three days of Global Azure. 102 communities took part with some organising several events. We are excited to see what 2025 will bring! Organise a Global Azure event! There is no single format for a Global Azure event and it will depend on your community: If you organise a User Group, perhaps you could have a meeting during our event that focuses somehow on Azure. Content can come from anywhere, whether that is .Net or Java, Security or DevOps, there are user groups representing all aspects of development, deployment and operations these days. As we march towards a more intelligent future, we're sure that Artificial Intelligence will figure as a key topic for content at the next event as it pervades everything from GPT to cloud economics, and from complex analytics to cloud developer productivity. If your community focuses on conferences or all-day events why not run a Global Azure event in your area? Perhaps you could encourage new speakers to share their experiences alongside more seasoned community veterans. For Global Azure, diversity and inclusivity is important. We welcome communities like those who support Women in Technology, or encourage children to code. We'd love it if you could bring that inclusivity to a cloud-focused Global Azure event. If you are a student, perhaps your school, college, or university could host an event that introduces your community to the cloud. We are proud to work with the Microsoft Student Ambassador programme and love the engagement we see in the student community every year. Check our Communities page for more information! Become a sponsor The community is powered by people. But we would be lying if we didn't also say that it is powered by the support of organisations around the world that are able to help, perhaps providing a location for a meeting, covering the cost of food for attendees, or many other small acts of kindness and sponsorship that support the community as well as promoting the organisation. We welcome global sponsors who wish to engage with the entire Global Azure community just as much as we welcome those who support their local events. If you want to know more, please get in touch with us. Attend an event Whoever you are, wherever you are, we hope that you will find a Global Azure event to attend. That could be in person or online – in previous years several communities have run online events and even individual speakers have done Global Azure-themed streams and recordings. To find an event simply look at our map! In the months, weeks, and days before the event, new Global Azure pins appear on our world map as more and more communities join in.
