Free Azure @ GlobalAzure 2025 by Microsoft

GlobalAzure 2025 is now behind us, and we’re still energized by the amazing turnout, community spirit, and countless learning moments shared around the world. This year’s event was special not only because of the great content and speakers—but also because of the strong support we received from Microsoft in making the experience more inclusive and accessible.

We’re proud to say that, once again, Microsoft supported our mission by sponsoring free $100 Azure credits for learners in need. This offer made it possible for students, newcomers, and anyone without access to Azure to participate fully in workshops, labs, and hands-on sessions at their local GlobalAzure events.

GlobalAzure is all about community and learning. But cloud education requires access to cloud tools—and that’s not always something everyone has. Microsoft’s sponsorship helped remove that barrier for many people around the world, allowing them to dive into real cloud experiences and start their journey in Azure.

Organizers could set up virtual classrooms and invite students, making it easy to manage learning spaces and distribute access. Once onboarded, learners could explore Azure’s wide range of services, follow along with workshops, and complete hands-on labs—without any financial or technical barriers standing in the way.

This support helped ensure that everyone, regardless of their background or current access, had a fair chance to engage, experiment, and grow their skills in the cloud.

Microsoft made it easy for local organizers to request Azure passes for learners who needed them—and it’s still possible to do so!

If you  know someone who missed out during GlobalAzure, here’s how to request Azure access for eligible learners:

  1. Download the student roster template
    Download template CSV
  2. Fill in learner details
Just one line per person—first name, last name, and email address. (You can remove the sample entries.)
  3. Send the completed file to GlobalAzure Admins
    ➤ Email: global@globalazure.net
  4. Our team will upload your roster to the Azure Education Hub
  5. Learners will receive individual email invitations
Each includes a unique link and instructions for redeeming their Azure access.
  6. Azure subscriptions will be provisioned automatically
Once activated, learners can start exploring and experimenting right away.

We’ve already seen how powerful this opportunity has been for communities around the world—unlocking access, boosting engagement, and helping new learners build confidence with real tools. If you still have learners who would benefit, now’s the time to get them started!

Big Thanks to Microsoft!

Thank you for supporting community-led learning with tangible, meaningful resources. Your continued investment in inclusive access helps us grow a more diverse and empowered tech community, and we’re grateful for it.

This is what community support looks like—real tools, real opportunities, real impact.
