It is time to shine a spotlight on the Microsoft User Group Peru and their Global Azure event for Global Azure 2025! This friends, is community leadership and activism at its finest. It is incredibly rewarding to see all the people who gen involved and activated in all these great events! Below follows their account of their own great event for learning Azure in Peru! <3 You people are amazing! Here is their own story: Definitely what happened this Saturday 10th May will be an experience that we’ll never forget, after several weeks of coordination in the Microsoft User Group Peru we launched the Peruvian edition of the #GlobalAzure 2025, where with all the effort of the community we decided to take the leap (our previous editions had 150 attendees at most) and, thanks to the support of our good friend Corrado Daly, opt for the big Open PUCP as a venue, The challenge was great but we got into it wishing the best. Despite the big challenge, the collaboration of the community worked, this is the spirit of the #GlobalAzure "By community, for community", the commissions carried the mission on their shoulders and in the face of difficulties the alternatives and the will emerged during these intense weeks of work in which we had countless messages, emails, calls and meetings. Being part of the organizing team has been one of those experiences that fill you with pride and remind you why it is so worthwhile to get involved in the community. Seeing so many people connected by curiosity, by the desire to learn, to share and to teach... it is priceless. That is the true spirit of #GlobalAzure: to build community from commitment and affection for technology. Thanks to all the MVPs, Student Ambassadors, speakers and sponsors who bet on the success of this event, we learned great lessons for future activities where we can continue sharing knowledge around the cloud and technology. Special thanks to Ernesto Cardenas, Diego Cancho Coila, Mayra Alejandra Espinoza Reyes, Cesar Jesus Angulo Gasco Keyla Dolores Méndez, Nelson L. Contreras Centeno, Juan Carlos Cueva, Oscar Ayra, Jorge Castañeda, Edgard Alejos Reyes, Jonathan Aldave Mendoza, and to all the members of the organizing committees who were part of this effort. Special thanks to the General Manager of Microsoft Peru Mario Rodriguez and the dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering PUCP Francisco Rumiche for their participation in the event opening, and of course to OpenPUCP for hosting us for the first time. And of course, we cannot miss the special thanks to our friends at NTT DATA, Bravent, Atentus, Canvia, Colabora, Nuvem, MitoCode, Inetum for helping us make this possible. But this event never could be called a success without an audience, all our 450 guests that came to learn, interact and share with the community, we did Global Azure Peru for you, so a thousand thanks for your time, trust and enthusiasm during past Saturday. There is a pleasant tiredness left, now it is time to rest, learn from the lessons and plan for next year.
